GENERAL DOWNTOWN PARKING INFORMATION
WHERE TO PARK:
Downtown Shreveport has approximately 12,929 parking spaces in surface lots and garages with free parking on the riverfront and in City surface parking lots.
Visitors to the museum can park in meter spaces adjacent to the facility on Milam, Spring and Commerce Streets, in free surface lot spaces along the Shreveport Riverfront/Clyde Fant Parkway or in free garage spaces at the Shreveport Aquarium, Sam’s Town or Eldorado Resort Casino.
On Street Meter Parking is free after 5 pm, on weekends and official city holidays. All other times, it is $.25 per 30 minutes, up to two hours.
PARKMOBILE PARKING APP:
One especially convenient way to use the meters is with the Parkmobile Parking App, which can be downloaded for free. Parkmobile allows you to park at any meter space for up to three hours.
Download: Download the free app at Parkmobile.com or your device’s app store. Register after you download and you are ready to park. You can also pay by using the Parkmobile toll-free number: 877-727-5988

PARKCARD:
You may also use a convenient ParkCard to pay the meter. ParkCards can be purchased in $20 increments:

PARKING LOTS AND GARAGES:
Surface lots and garages range from $3- $8 for in-and-out parking. Private parking lots charge at night and on weekends. Please read all signage before parking in an off-street lot after-hours. Some private parking lots will tow or ticket up to $100 for parking without paying.
Alley, Commercial Zone, Fire Lane and use of Handicapped Spaces without legal permits will result in large parking fines.
COMMERCIAL LOADING ZONES:
Per Section 90-299 of the Shreveport City Ordinance, use of commercial vehicle loading zones is limited to trucks, delivery vans or automobiles with commercial license plates. There is a 60 minute limit to commercial loading zone parking.
